What happens at the border

1
Apply for a visitor visa online
Go to the IRCC website (Canada.ca) and create an account. Fill out the application form, upload your documents (passport scan, photo, itinerary, financial proof), and pay the CAD 100 fee. Processing takes 2–6 weeks on average.
2
Wait for visa approval and submit passport
Once approved, you'll receive a Port of Entry letter. You may need to mail your physical passport to the nearest visa application centre (VAC) in Singapore for the visa sticker. This adds 1–2 weeks.
3
Arrive at a Canadian airport
At immigration, present your passport with the visa sticker and the Port of Entry letter. The officer may ask about your trip purpose, funds, and return plans. Answer honestly. You'll be admitted for up to 6 months.
