Pay the $185 MRV fee online via the U.S. visa appointment system or at a designated bank. Save the payment receipt.

Schedule your interview
Log into the U.S. visa appointment system, choose an embassy or consulate (Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich, or Düsseldorf), and pick an available date. Wait times can be 2–8 weeks.

Attend the interview
Arrive 15 minutes early with your DS-160 confirmation, passport, payment receipt, and supporting documents. The officer will ask about your trip and ties to Germany. Answer honestly and briefly.

Enter the US
