I've been traveling internationally since I was in my twenties — first for work, then because I simply couldn't stop. Over the years I've visited dozens of countries across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America.

One thing that never got easier? Figuring out whether I needed a visa, how long my passport needed to be valid, and what documents to bring to the border. Every trip meant hours jumping between embassy websites, outdated blog posts, and forum threads from 2019.

In early 2025, I missed a flight connection because I didn't realize my passport needed six months validity — not three — for the country I was transiting through. The information was technically available, but buried. I was frustrated. So I built the resource I wished had existed.

What EntryBrief is

EntryBrief is a travel entry requirements database. For each passport and destination combination, we compile the visa type, entry requirements, official application links, health requirements, and practical border crossing information — all in one place.

We pull data directly from government sources: embassy websites, immigration authority portals, foreign ministry publications, and official eVisa portals. Where possible, we link directly to the source so you can verify before you book.

How we keep it current

Travel requirements change — sometimes overnight. We run automated checks against official sources on a weekly basis and review high-traffic routes more frequently. Each page shows the date it was last reviewed. If you spot something outdated, use the "Report an error" link and we'll review it within 24 hours.
