Useful, without being invasive
We collect as little as possible, and we never sell your data. Here's the plain-English version of how EntryBrief handles privacy.
What data we collect
- Email subscriptions. If you sign up for change alerts on a route, we store your email address and the route you asked about — only so we can notify you when requirements change. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Error reports. When you use the "Report an error" link, we store what you submitted (and, if you choose to provide it, your email) so we can review the page and follow up.
- That's it. We do not require accounts, and we do not collect names, payment details, or location data.
Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that we host ourselves. It records aggregate, anonymous usage (such as which pages are popular) without cookies and without sending personal data to any third party. We cannot identify individual visitors.
Cookies
We use the absolute minimum — essentially only a technical preference such as your light/dark theme choice, stored locally in your browser. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Affiliate links
Some links on EntryBrief are affiliate links — including to travel services such as Booking.com, Airalo, and SafetyWing. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps keep EntryBrief free. Affiliate relationships never influence the entry-requirement information we publish.
Data retention
We keep subscription and error-report data only as long as needed for the purpose you provided it. Ask us to delete your data at any time and we will.
