Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your passport needs to be valid for the entire time you plan to be in Armenia. No minimum validity beyond your departure date is required by Armenian law, but your airline may check for 6 months validity — confirm with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Armenia
Immigration officers at Zvartnots Airport in Yerevan routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your outbound flight booking ready — they will check the date matches your intended stay.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Border officers may ask where you are staying, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary. A hotel confirmation or a letter from your host with their address and phone number is enough.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself during the visit
You may be asked to demonstrate you have enough money for your stay. Carry a bank statement or credit card showing access to at least 50,000 AMD (~$130) per day of your trip.Recommended
Passport validity counts from entry, not departure
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you land in Armenia. If it expires sooner, you'll be turned away. Check your expiry date before you book anything.
No visa, no fees, no fuss
UAE passport holders get 180 days visa-free. No application, no payment, no paperwork. Just show up with a valid passport and a return ticket.
