What happens at the border

Arrive at Kigali International Airport
After landing, follow signs to 'Visa on Arrival' or 'Immigration'. The queue is usually straightforward. Have your passport, return ticket (screenshot), and accommodation booking ready.

Fill out the arrival form
You'll be given a small card to fill in — basic info: name, passport number, flight number, address in Rwanda. Keep your pen handy.

Present documents at the visa counter
Hand over your passport, completed form, and supporting documents. The officer will process your visa on the spot. Payment is in USD or RWF — have cash ready (around $30-50 USD).

Receive your visa and enter Rwanda
Once approved, the officer will stamp your passport with a 30-day tourist visa. Collect your passport and proceed to baggage claim and customs.
