Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your passport must be valid for the entire time you plan to stay in Kosovo. No minimum validity beyond your departure date is required by Kosovo law, but airlines may enforce a 6-month rule — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Kosovo
Immigration officers at Pristina International Airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready showing your departure within the 90-day visa-free period.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
You may be asked where you're staying, especially if arriving without a pre-booked hotel. A printed booking confirmation or a letter from a host with their address and phone number covers this.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Border officers can ask for evidence of sufficient funds — roughly €50–€100 per day of stay. A bank statement or credit card with a reasonable limit usually satisfies them.Recommended
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Kosovo immigration requires your passport to be valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date. Airlines check this before boarding. If your passport expires sooner, you will not be allowed to fly.
No visa, no fee, no forms
UAE passport holders get a free 90-day entry stamp on arrival. No application, no payment, no paperwork. Just show your passport and answer any questions.

What happens at the border

1
Prepare your documents
Before you leave, check your passport is valid for 6+ months from your arrival date. Book your return/onward ticket and first night's accommodation. Save screenshots of your booking confirmations and insurance policy on your phone.
2
Arrive at Pristina International Airport (PRN)
After landing, follow signs to 'Passport Control' (usually on the ground floor). There are separate queues for EU/EEA and non-EU passports — join the non-EU line. Wait times are typically 10–20 minutes.
3
Present your passport and documents
Hand over your passport. The officer may ask for your return ticket and accommodation details. Answer clearly. They'll stamp your passport with a 90-day entry. No visa fee, no forms to fill.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After passport control, head to baggage claim (carousels are clearly marked). Then walk through the green 'Nothing to Declare' channel unless you have goods to declare. You're in.
