Transiting through Republic of the Congo
A transit visa is required for Austria passport holders transiting through the Republic of the Congo, even if staying airside. Apply in advance at a Congolese embassy or obtain a visa on arrival at Brazzaville or Pointe-Noire airport.
- Diplomatic or official passport holders may be exempt.
- Passengers with a confirmed onward ticket and a visa for the next destination may be allowed to stay airside for up to 24 hours, but this is not guaranteed and a transit visa is still recommended.
