Apply for the eVisa online
Go to visas.immigration.go.ug, fill out the application form, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page, and pay the fee (around $50 for a single-entry tourist visa). Processing takes 2–5 business days. You'll receive an approval email — print it or save it on your phone.

Prepare your documents for departure
Before heading to the airport, gather: your passport (valid 6+ months), printed eVisa approval, return ticket, first night hotel booking, and travel insurance details. Keep them in your carry-on.

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport
After landing, follow signs to 'Immigration'. Join the queue for 'Visitors' or 'Foreign Passports'. Hand over your passport and eVisa approval. The officer will stamp you in — usually takes 2–5 minutes. Have your return ticket and hotel booking ready in case they ask.

Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. If you have nothing to declare, walk through the green channel. You're in.
