What happens at the border

1
Apply for your visa online
Go to the Pakistan Online Visa System (visa.nadra.gov.pk). Create an account, select your visa type (tourist, business, etc.), fill in the form, upload your passport scan and photo, and pay the fee. Processing takes 3–10 working days typically.
2
Receive and print your visa
Once approved, you'll get an e-visa by email. Print a copy and save a digital version on your phone. You'll need to show it at immigration on arrival.
3
Prepare your documents for arrival
Before you land, have your passport, printed visa, return ticket, and first night accommodation confirmation ready. Keep them together in your carry-on.
4
Go through immigration at the airport
At major airports like Islamabad, Karachi, or Lahore, join the foreign passport queue. Hand over your passport, visa printout, and return ticket. The officer may ask about your itinerary — answer clearly. Expect a stamp and a 30–60 second process if everything's in order.
