Transiting through Russia
Australian citizens transiting through Russia (including airside) generally require a transit visa, unless they qualify for the 24-hour airside transit exemption (see exceptions).
- Passengers with confirmed onward tickets and staying airside for less than 24 hours at certain airports (e.g., Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, Vnukovo, Pulkovo) may be exempt, but this is not guaranteed and should be confirmed with the airline.
