Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
You need an eVisa to enter Cameroon. Apply at the official eVisa portal — processing takes 3–5 business days. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must have 6 months validity
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Cameroon. Airlines check this before boarding — if your passport expires sooner, you'll be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Immigration officers at Yaoundé and Douala airports ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed copy or show it on your phone. Without one, you risk being refused entry.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Carry a hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Cameroon. Immigration may ask where you're staying — having it ready avoids delays.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have bank statements or cash (CFA francs or euros) showing you can cover your stay. Around 100,000 CFA (~€150) per week is a safe benchmark. Immigration rarely asks, but it's better to have it.Recommended
eVisa is mandatory — no exceptions
Bosnia passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival. You must apply and receive approval before your flight. Airlines check this at check-in.
Yellow fever vaccine required
You must show a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate (yellow card) upon arrival. Without it, you may be denied entry or forced to get vaccinated at the airport.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Cameroon eVisa website (evisacameroon.com). Fill in your personal and travel details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee online. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days, but apply at least a week before your trip.
2
Receive and print your eVisa
Once approved, you'll get a PDF by email. Print a copy and also save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and upon arrival in Cameroon.
3
Arrive at Yaoundé Nsimalen or Douala International Airport
Most international flights land at Yaoundé (NSI) or Douala (DLA). Go to the immigration queue for 'eVisa holders'. Present your passport, printed eVisa, and return ticket. The officer will stamp your passport — no extra forms needed.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, pick up your bags from the carousel. You may be asked for your customs declaration form (usually given on the plane). Then walk through the green channel if you have nothing to declare.
