If you hold a Bosnia and Herzegovina passport, you'll need an eVisa to enter Kazakhstan in 2026. The whole application is online and typically takes 3–5 business days to process. Apply before you travel — there's no visa on arrival.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Apply for a Kazakhstan eVisa at evisa.e-gov.kz/en/ at least 5 working days before departure. The eVisa is single-entry and valid for 30 days. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for intended stay
Your passport must be valid for the entire duration of your stay in Kazakhstan. No minimum validity beyond departure is required, but airlines may enforce 6 months — check with your carrier.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Immigration officers at Almaty and Nur-Sultan airports routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready showing your exit from Kazakhstan within the eVisa validity.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Carry a hotel reservation or a notarized invitation letter from your host in Kazakhstan. Officers may ask for it during passport control, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show sufficient cash or card
Have at least $50 USD per day of stay available in cash or on a credit card. Immigration rarely checks this for eVisa holders, but it helps if questioned about your ability to support yourself.Recommended
Apply early — no rush option
The eVisa takes 3–5 business days with no express service. Apply at least a week before your departure to avoid last-minute stress.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for 6 months from the day you land in Kazakhstan, not from your departure date. If it expires sooner, renew it first.
