Rwanda requires a yellow fever vaccination certificate if you're arriving from a country with yellow fever risk. Even if you're transiting through such a country, you may need the certificate. Check your itinerary and carry your yellow card if applicable.

What happens at the border

Arrive at Kigali International Airport
After landing, follow signs to 'Visa on Arrival' or 'Immigration'. There's a dedicated counter. Queue up, fill out the arrival form (provided at the counter), and present your passport, return ticket, and accommodation proof.

Pay the visa fee
Hand over USD 50 in cash. The officer will process your visa and stamp it into your passport. This takes about 5-10 minutes.

Proceed to passport control
Once you have the visa sticker, go to the passport control queue. The officer will check your visa and stamp you in. You're now free to enter Rwanda.
