Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Apply for a Kosovo eVisa at e-viza.rks-gov.net. The process takes about 15 minutes — upload a passport scan, a photo, and pay the fee online. Approval usually comes within 3–5 business days, but apply at least a week before your flight.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your Bosnia and Herzegovina passport must be valid for the full duration of your stay in Kosovo. Kosovo does not enforce a 6-month validity rule — just make sure it doesn't expire while you're there.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Immigration at Pristina Airport may ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready — a flexible ticket or a cheap bus ticket to Albania works fine.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Border officers sometimes ask where you're staying. Have a hotel confirmation or a letter from your host ready. A simple booking.com printout is enough.Recommended
Apply early — no visa on arrival
Kosovo does not offer visa on arrival for Bosnian passport holders. You must apply for an e-Visa online at least 3 weeks before your trip. Processing can take up to 14 working days.
Keep digital copies of everything
Save your visa approval PDF, passport scan, and booking confirmations on your phone. Also keep a printed backup in your carry-on. Border officers may ask to see any of these documents.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the e-Visa online
Go to e-viza.rks-gov.net, fill in the application form, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page, and pay the fee (€30–€50 depending on visa type). Processing takes 5–14 working days. You'll receive an approval email — print it or save the PDF on your phone.
2
Prepare your documents for the border
Before you arrive at Pristina International Airport or any land border crossing, have your passport, printed or digital visa approval, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation ready. Border officers may ask to see all of them.
3
Go through immigration
At the border, hand over your passport and visa approval. The officer will check your documents, may ask about your travel plans, and will stamp your passport. The whole process usually takes 2–5 minutes if your documents are in order.
