Bangladeshi passport holders need a visa to enter Israel in 2026. You must apply online before you travel — there is no visa-on-arrival option. Plan ahead: processing can take a couple of weeks.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must cover your full stay
At least 6 months validity beyond your entry date. Minimum 1 blank page for the entry stamp. Airlines may deny boarding if validity is too close.Required
Return or onward ticket
Officers check this regularly
A confirmed flight out of the country. Immigration may ask to see this — have a screenshot ready on your phone. An onward ticket from a neighbouring country also works.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel name or address
A hotel booking confirmation, or the address of where you are staying. The arrival form often asks for this. A Booking.com or Airbnb confirmation email is fine.Recommended
Proof of funds
Rarely checked
Immigration officers may ask you to demonstrate sufficient funds for your stay. A credit card or bank statement usually suffices.Recommended
Visa required — no exceptions
Bangladeshi passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival in Israel. You must apply and receive approval before you travel. Arriving without a visa means you'll be sent back on the next flight.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Israel, not from when you leave. If your passport expires in 5 months, renew it first.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the visa online
Go to the official Israeli visa portal (israel-entry.piba.gov.il). Fill in your details, upload a passport photo and scanned passport page, pay the fee, and submit. Processing typically takes 5–14 days.
2
Receive and print your visa approval
Once approved, you'll get an email with a PDF. Print it — you'll need to show it at the airport in Bangladesh and again at Israeli immigration.
3
Prepare your documents for departure
Before you leave for the airport, double-check: passport (6+ months validity), printed visa approval, return ticket, first night hotel booking, and travel insurance. Keep them in your carry-on.
4
Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport and go through immigration
At Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport, follow signs to 'Foreign Passports'. Hand over your passport, visa approval, and return ticket. You'll be asked a few questions (purpose of visit, where you're staying). Answer honestly and briefly. You'll get an entry stamp valid for up to 90 days.

Frequently asked questions

Processing usually takes 5–14 days. Apply at least 3 weeks before your trip to be safe. The fee is around 100 ILS (about $30 USD), but check the portal for current rates.
No. The visa is not extendable. You must leave before the 90 days are up. Overstaying can result in fines and a ban from re-entry.
If you're staying airside and not passing through immigration, you don't need a visa. But if you leave the transit area or have a layover longer than 12 hours, you'll need a visa. Check with your airline.
You will be denied entry. The 6-month rule is strictly enforced. Renew your passport before applying for the visa.
Yes. Bangladesh does not prohibit entry with Israeli stamps. However, some other countries (like Lebanon, Syria, Iran) may deny entry if they see an Israeli stamp. If you plan to visit those countries later, ask the Israeli officer to stamp a separate piece of paper instead.
Israel is generally safe for tourists, but check your government's travel advisories before booking. The security situation can change quickly. Register with your embassy upon arrival.
You can reapply, but first try to understand why it was rejected. Common reasons: incomplete application, insufficient funds, or unclear travel purpose. Address those issues and reapply. There is no formal appeal process.
