What happens at the border

1
Apply for eVisa online
Go to evisa.e-gov.kz/en/ and fill out the application. Upload a digital passport photo and a scanned copy of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $80 USD) by card. Processing takes 3–5 business days.
2
Receive and print eVisa
Once approved, you'll get a PDF by email. Print a copy and save it on your phone. Show it at check-in and at immigration.
3
Arrive at Almaty or Nur-Sultan airport
Most flights from Bangladesh arrive at Almaty International Airport (ALA) or Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport (NQZ). Follow signs to 'Passport Control' — there are separate queues for foreigners.
4
Present documents at immigration
Hand over your passport, printed eVisa, and return ticket. The officer may ask about your accommodation and purpose of visit. Answer clearly. They'll stamp your passport and you're in.
5
Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, head to baggage claim, then customs. Use the green channel if you have nothing to declare. Welcome to Kazakhstan.
