Bangladeshi passport holders need an eVisa to enter Qatar in 2026. The process is entirely online and straightforward, but you must apply before you travel — there is no visa on arrival for Bangladeshi citizens.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Apply for a Qatar eVisa through the Hukoomi portal before you fly. The process takes a few minutes and you'll receive the visa by email — print a copy and keep it with your passport. Without an approved eVisa, you will not be allowed to board your flight.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for the entire stay
Your Bangladeshi passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry into Qatar. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you'll be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Show proof of departure
Immigration officers in Qatar routinely ask for a confirmed return or onward ticket. Have a printed copy or a digital version on your phone ready to show. Without one, you risk being refused entry.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Qatar. Immigration may ask where you're staying, and having proof speeds up the process.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have bank statements or a credit card ready to demonstrate you have enough money for your stay. Qatar rarely asks for this, but it's better to have it than to be caught without.Recommended
No visa on arrival for Bangladeshi passport holders
You cannot get a visa when you land in Doha. The eVisa must be approved before you travel. Apply at least a week in advance.
Keep digital copies of everything
Save screenshots of your eVisa, return ticket, and hotel booking on your phone. Also keep printed copies in your carry-on. Immigration at Hamad International Airport may ask to see them.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the Hukoomi portal (hukoomi.gov.qa) and fill out the eVisa application. Upload a scanned copy of your passport bio page and a recent passport-sized photo. Pay the fee online. Processing typically takes 3–5 business days.
2
Receive and print your eVisa
Once approved, you'll get the eVisa by email. Print a copy and save a PDF on your phone. You'll need it at check-in and at immigration in Doha.
3
Arrive at Hamad International Airport (DOH)
After landing, follow signs to 'Arrivals' and then to 'Immigration'. Join the queue for foreign passport holders. Have your passport, eVisa, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation ready.
4
Pass through immigration
Hand over your passport and eVisa. The officer may ask about your purpose of visit, where you're staying, and when you're leaving. Answer clearly. They'll stamp your passport — that's your entry clearance.
5
Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, proceed to baggage claim, then to customs. There's nothing special to declare for most tourists. Exit into the arrivals hall.
