Bangladeshi passport holders need an eVisa to enter Togo. The process is entirely online — no embassy visit required. As of 2026, this is the standard entry method for tourism and short business trips.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Togo eVisa
Apply online at evisa.gouv.tg before you fly. The eVisa is mandatory for Bangladeshi passport holders — there is no visa on arrival option. Processing takes 2–3 business days, so apply at least a week ahead.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
6 months validity
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry into Togo. Immigration at Lomé airport checks this strictly — airlines also enforce it before boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of onward travel
Immigration officers at Lomé airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed copy or a screenshot ready on your phone — they may check before stamping you in.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host letter
Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter from your host in Togo. Officers rarely ask for it, but having it ready avoids delays if they do.Recommended
Proof of funds
Cash or bank statement
Have at least 200,000 CFA francs (about $330 USD) in cash or a recent bank statement showing sufficient funds. Immigration may ask to see it if you look underprepared.Recommended
Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory
Togo requires proof of yellow fever vaccination for all travellers. Without the yellow card, you may be denied entry or forced to get vaccinated at the airport (at your own cost). Get the shot at least 10 days before travel.
eVisa is the only option
There is no visa on arrival for Bangladeshi passport holders. Do not attempt to travel without an approved eVisa — you will be turned away at check-in.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to evisa.gouv.tg, fill in your details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $30–$50 depending on processing speed). You'll receive the eVisa by email within 3–7 business days.
2
Print or save the eVisa
Once approved, print a copy and also save the PDF on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival in Lomé.
3
Prepare your documents for the airport
At departure, the airline will check your eVisa, passport validity, and onward ticket. Have them ready in a folder or on your phone.
4
Arrive at Lomé–Tokoin Airport
After landing, follow signs to immigration. Hand over your passport, eVisa, and boarding pass. The officer may ask about your accommodation and return ticket. Answer clearly. The process usually takes 5–10 minutes.
5
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, pick up your bags from the carousel. There's a customs check — declare anything over the duty-free limit. Then you're free to leave.
