Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you arrive in Uganda, not from when you apply for the visa. If it expires sooner, renew it before you travel.

Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Uganda eVisa portal (visas.immigration.go.ug) and fill out the application. You'll need to upload a passport photo, a copy of your passport bio page, and your travel itinerary. Pay the fee with a credit or debit card.

Wait for approval
Processing usually takes 2–5 business days. You'll receive an approval letter by email. Print it or save a copy on your phone.

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport
When you land, head to the immigration counter. Present your passport, the eVisa approval letter, and your return ticket. The officer may ask a few questions about your trip. After a quick check, you'll get an entry stamp.

Collect your luggage and exit
Once stamped, collect your bags from the carousel and proceed through customs. If you have nothing to declare, use the green channel.
