You may be asked to show you have enough cash or card funds for your trip. Have a bank statement or credit card available.Recommended
EU/EEA lane at passport control
As a Bulgarian passport holder, use the EU/EEA lane at Larnaca and Paphos airports. This is faster than the 'All Passports' lane.
Overstaying the 90-day limit
Overstaying even by a day can result in a fine of up to €500 and a possible re-entry ban. Track your days carefully — use the Schengen calculator app.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Larnaca or Paphos airport
Most flights from Bulgaria land at Larnaca International Airport (LCA) or Paphos International Airport (PFO). Follow signs to 'Arrivals' and then 'Passport Control'.
2
Queue at EU/EEA passport control
As a Bulgarian passport holder, use the 'EU/EEA' lane. Have your passport ready. The officer may ask for your return ticket and accommodation details.
3
Receive entry stamp
The officer will stamp your passport with the date of entry. Check the stamp is legible before walking away. Keep your passport accessible for the rest of your stay.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After passport control, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. No customs declaration is needed for personal items under €430.
