Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of stay
Your Bulgarian passport needs to be valid only for the period you plan to stay in Seychelles. Airlines at Sofia check this before boarding — if your passport expires before your return date, you'll be denied boarding.Required
Seychelles Travel Authorization (eTA)
Mandatory online pre-approval
Apply at seychelles.govtas.com at least 2–3 days before departure. The form asks for passport details, flight info, and accommodation address. Approval comes via email — save the PDF on your phone. The fee is about €10.Apply for eTARequired
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Seychelles
Immigration at Mahé Airport always asks for a confirmed onward ticket. A flight booking out of Seychelles within 90 days works. If you're island-hopping, show the next leg.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Have your hotel confirmation or a letter from your host ready. Immigration officers occasionally ask for it, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can cover your stay
Carry a bank statement or credit card showing at least $150 per day of your stay. Officers rarely check this for Bulgarian passport holders, but having it avoids delays.Recommended
Passport validity counts from arrival, not departure
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you land in Seychelles. If it expires sooner, you'll be turned away. Renew early if needed.
No visa, no fee, no application
Bulgarian passport holders get 90 days visa-free. No need to apply online or pay any fee. Just show up with a valid passport and a return ticket.

What happens at the border

1
Arrival at Seychelles International Airport
After landing at Seychelles International Airport (SEZ) on Mahé, follow signs to immigration. There are separate queues for citizens and visitors. Have your passport and return ticket ready. The officer will stamp you in for up to 90 days. The process usually takes 5-10 minutes.
2
Prepare documents for immigration
Before you reach the counter, have your passport open to the photo page, your return ticket (printed or on phone), and your accommodation booking. If asked, state the purpose of your visit (tourism) and how long you plan to stay.
3
Collect luggage and exit
After clearing immigration, collect your bags from the carousel. There is a customs declaration area — if you have nothing to declare, walk through the green channel. Then you're free to exit into the arrivals hall.
