Cash only — no cards accepted
The visa on arrival fee must be paid in US dollars cash. ATMs at Lungi Airport are unreliable, and credit cards are not accepted at immigration. Bring at least $150 in crisp, new $100 bills to cover the visa and any unexpected costs.
Yellow fever certificate is mandatory
You must show a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate at immigration. Without it, you may be denied entry or forced to get vaccinated on the spot (and pay a fee). Get the shot at least 10 days before travel.

Arrive at Lungi International Airport (or land border)
After landing, follow signs to immigration. You'll fill out a landing card (usually handed out on the plane or at the counter). Join the 'Visa on Arrival' queue — not the 'Diplomatic' or 'ECOWAS' line.

Submit documents and pay the fee
Hand over your passport, landing card, and return ticket. The officer will tell you the fee — pay in US dollars cash. They'll take your photo and fingerprints, then stamp the visa into your passport.
