Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of stay
Your passport needs to be valid for the entire period you plan to stay in Belarus. No minimum validity beyond your departure date is required by Belarusian law, but airlines may enforce their own 6-month rule — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Belarus
Immigration officers at Minsk National Airport routinely ask for a confirmed return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready showing you leave within the 30-day visa-free window.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Border officials may ask where you're staying. A hotel confirmation or a notarized invitation from a Belarusian host covers this. Keep a copy on your phone or printed.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Belarus requires visitors to show at least 50 Belarusian rubles (~$15 USD) per day of stay. A bank statement or cash in hand works — officers rarely ask, but have it ready.Recommended
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Belarus. Airlines check this before boarding — if your passport expires sooner, you won't be allowed to fly.
No visa needed for 30 days
Bahraini passport holders can stay up to 30 days without a visa. This covers tourism, business, and visiting friends or family. No application or fee required.

What happens at the border

1
Prepare your documents
Before you leave, gather your passport (valid 6+ months), return ticket, accommodation booking, and travel insurance. Save everything as screenshots on your phone.
2
Arrive at Minsk National Airport (MSQ)
Most Bahraini travellers fly into Minsk. After landing, follow signs to 'Passport Control'. There are separate queues for Belarusian citizens and foreigners — join the foreigners queue.
3
Present your passport and documents
Hand over your passport. The officer may ask for your return ticket and accommodation. Answer clearly. They'll stamp your passport with a 30-day entry stamp.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After passport control, head to baggage claim, then customs. If you have nothing to declare, use the green channel. You're in.
