Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus

Apply online before travel
You need a visa to enter Colombia. Apply through the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs eVisa portal at least 15 days before your trip. The eVisa costs around $52 USD and is typically processed within 5–10 business days.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for entire stay
Your Bahraini passport must be valid for the full duration of your stay in Colombia. No minimum validity beyond departure is required by Colombian law, but airlines may enforce 6 months — check with your carrier.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Colombia
Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight itinerary ready. Without one, you may be denied boarding or entry.Required
Check-Mig pre-registrationCheck-Mig: Colombia's mandatory online pre-registration form at migracioncolombia.gov.co. Complete it within 72 hours before your flight — it takes under 5 minutes.
Mandatory online form within 72 hours of departure
Complete the free Check-Mig form at migracioncolombia.gov.co within 72 hours before your flight to Colombia. You get a QR code that immigration scans on arrival — no QR code means you'll be pulled aside for manual processing.Open Check-Mig formRequired
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Have a hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host ready. Immigration may ask where you're staying on arrival. A simple booking confirmation printout or digital copy works.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Carry evidence of sufficient funds — around $200 USD per day of stay or a credit card statement. Officers rarely ask, but having it ready avoids delays.Recommended
Check-Mig is mandatory
You must complete the Check-Mig form online within 1-2 hours before your flight. It's free and saves you time at immigration. Don't skip it.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you land in Colombia, not from your departure date. Check your passport now.
