Jamaica entry requirements for Canada passport holders
Canadians don't need a visa for tourism or business trips to Jamaica. You can stay up to 90 days, and your passport must be valid for at least six months from the day you enter. This policy has been in effect since 2024.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Valid passport Must be valid for the duration of your stay | Your Canadian passport needs to be valid for the entire time you plan to be in Jamaica. Airlines check this at check-in, and immigration officers in Montego Bay and Kingston will deny boarding if your passport expires before you leave. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Proof of departure from Jamaica | Immigration at Norman Manley and Sangster International airports always asks for a return or onward ticket. If you arrive without one, they may put you on the next flight back at your own expense. | Required |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or host invitation | Have a printed or digital hotel reservation ready. If staying with friends or family, carry their full name, address, and phone number — officers sometimes call to verify. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Show you can support yourself during the visit | Carry a bank statement or credit card showing access to at least $100 USD per day. Immigration rarely asks, but if you look underprepared they can refuse entry. | Recommended |
