Ivory Coast passport holders need a visa to enter Kosovo. Apply online before you travel. This rule started in 2024 when Kosovo launched its e-Visa system.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before departure
You need a visa to enter Kosovo. Apply online through the Kosovo eVisa portal at e-viza.rks-gov.net. Processing takes a few business days — do not book flights until you have the approval.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must cover your entire stay
Your Ivory Coast passport needs at least one blank page for entry stamps. Kosovo does not enforce a strict 6-month validity rule — your passport just needs to be valid for the duration of your stay.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Immigration at Pristina Airport may ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Border officers sometimes ask where you are staying. Have a hotel confirmation or a letter from your host ready.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
You may be asked to show you have enough money for your stay. Carry a bank statement or credit card as backup.Recommended
Apply early—processing can take a week
Don't wait until the last minute. The e-Visa system processes applications within 3–7 business days, but there's no rush option. Apply at least two weeks before your departure to avoid stress.
Keep digital copies of everything
Save PDFs of your e-Visa approval, flight tickets, and hotel booking on your phone. Also email them to yourself. If your phone dies or gets lost, you can access them from any device.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the e-Visa online
Go to the Kosovo e-Visa portal at https://e-viza.rks-gov.net/. Fill in your personal details, passport info, and travel dates. Upload a scanned copy of your passport bio page and a recent passport-style photo. Pay the fee (€30–€50 depending on processing speed) with a credit or debit card. Submit the application.
2
Wait for approval
Processing usually takes 3–7 business days. You'll receive an email with the visa decision. If approved, the visa is electronically linked to your passport. Print a copy or save the PDF on your phone.
3
Prepare your documents for the border
Before you fly, gather your passport (valid 6+ months), the e-Visa approval, your return ticket, and accommodation confirmation. Keep them in a folder or on your phone for quick access.
4
Arrive at Pristina International Airport
When you land at Pristina Airport, head to the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Hand over your passport and the e-Visa approval. The officer may ask about your trip—be ready to say how long you're staying and where. They'll stamp your passport with the entry date.
