Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Visa on arrivalYou do not need to apply for a visa before traveling; you can get it when you arrive in Armenia.
Available at all border entry points
Chilean passport holders can obtain a visa on arrival at any Armenian border checkpoint. The visa is issued for a single entry and the stay duration is determined by the border officer at the time of entry.Required
Passport validityCheck your passport's expiration date; if it expires within 6 months of your arrival, renew it before traveling.
Minimum 6 months beyond entry
Your Chilean passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date you enter Armenia.Required
Blank passport pagesThe visa stamp needs a clean page; count the blank pages in your passport.
At least 1 blank page
Your passport must have at least 1 blank visa page for the visa on arrival stamp.Required
Return or onward ticketHaving a booked flight out of Armenia helps prove you intend to leave within the allowed stay.
Proof of departure
You may be asked to show a return or onward flight ticket at immigration. While not strictly required by law, it is commonly requested.Recommended
Proof of sufficient fundsImmigration officers might ask how you'll support yourself; having a credit card or some cash helps.
No fixed amount specified
You may be asked to demonstrate you have enough money for your stay. No specific amount is published; carry cash or a card with available credit.Recommended
Arrival declarationYou do not need to fill out any special arrival form.
Not required
No arrival declaration form is required for entry into Armenia. Not required
Visa extensionPlan your trip so you leave within the time given at the border; you cannot stay longer.
Not available
The visa on arrival cannot be extended. You must leave Armenia before the authorized stay expires. Not required
Cash only for visa fee
The visa-on-arrival fee must be paid in cash — no credit or debit cards accepted. Bring Armenian dram, US dollars, or euros. ATMs are available at the airport before immigration.
Check your visa dates before leaving the counter
Once the officer stamps your passport, double-check the validity dates. Mistakes happen, and it's easier to fix them on the spot than later at an immigration office.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at immigration
At Zvartnots Airport in Yerevan, follow signs to 'Visa on Arrival' or 'Passport Control'. Join the queue for non-Armenian passports. Have your passport and return ticket ready.
2
Fill out the visa form
You'll be handed a small card to fill in: name, passport number, flight details, and address in Armenia. Keep it simple and legible.
3
Pay the visa fee
The visa-on-arrival fee is 3,000 AMD (about $8 USD) for a 21-day stay, or 15,000 AMD ($39 USD) for 120 days. Pay in Armenian dram, US dollars, or euros. Credit cards are not accepted.
4
Get your passport stamped
The officer will stamp your passport with the visa sticker. Check the dates before you walk away. The whole process takes 5–10 minutes.
