What happens at the border

Complete IMUGA online (before your flight)
Go to https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv and fill in the free arrival declaration. Do this within 96 hours of your flight. You'll get a QR code — save it on your phone or print it.

Arrive at Malé International Airport (MLE)
After landing, follow signs to 'Visa on Arrival' counters. Have your passport, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation ready. The process takes about 5-10 minutes.

Receive your visa stamp
The officer stamps your passport with a 30-day visa on arrival. No fee. Check the stamp says 30 days — if it's less, ask for clarification.

Exit and collect luggage
After the visa stamp, proceed to baggage claim and customs. You're free to enter the Maldives.
