What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Lisbon or Porto airport
You'll go through Schengen passport control. Join the 'All Passports' queue. Have your passport, return ticket, and accommodation address ready. The officer may ask your purpose and length of stay.
2
Present your documents
Hand over your passport. If asked, show your return ticket (screenshot is fine) and accommodation booking. Answer clearly: tourism, business, or visiting family. Stay calm — it's routine.
3
Get your entry stamp
The officer will stamp your passport with the entry date and allowed stay (usually 90 days). Check the stamp before leaving the counter. If it's missing or incorrect, ask for correction immediately.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After passport control, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. Green channel for nothing to declare. You're in.
