Visa on arrival is straightforward
Chilean passport holders have it easy — no pre-approval needed. Just show up with the right documents and pay the fee at the counter.
Passport validity is critical
Double-check your passport's expiry date. If it's less than 6 months from your arrival date, you'll be turned away at the border. No exceptions.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Hamad International Airport
After landing, follow signs to 'Arrivals' and then to 'Visa on Arrival' counters. These are clearly marked and separate from the main immigration queues.
2
Present your documents
Hand over your passport, return ticket (printed or on phone), and accommodation confirmation. The officer will check your passport validity and blank page.
3
Pay the visa fee
The visa-on-arrival fee is QAR 100 (about USD 27). Pay by credit card or cash (Qatari riyals). Keep the receipt.
4
Receive your visa sticker
The officer will stamp a visa sticker into your passport. It's valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Double-check the dates before leaving the counter.
5
Proceed to baggage claim and exit
Once you have the visa, head to baggage claim, collect your luggage, and walk through customs. No additional forms needed.
