Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before departure
Apply for an Armenian eVisa at evisa.mfa.am at least 3 business days before travel. The eVisa costs $6 USD for a single-entry visa valid for up to 21 days. Print the approval email and carry it with your passport — border control will scan the barcode.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must cover your entire stay
Your passport must be valid for the full duration of your stay in Armenia. Armenia does not require 6 months of validity beyond departure, but airlines may enforce it — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Border officers at Zvartnots Airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket showing you leave Armenia within the eVisa's validity period. Have a printed or digital copy ready.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Immigration may ask for a hotel reservation or an invitation letter from your host in Armenia. A printed booking confirmation from Booking.com or similar is sufficient.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Carry cash or a bank statement showing at least $50 USD per day of your stay. ATMs are widely available in Yerevan, but border control may ask to see funds on arrival.Recommended
No visa on arrival — apply early
Armenia does not offer visa on arrival for Cameroon passport holders. You must get an e-Visa before you fly. Apply at least a week in advance to avoid last-minute issues.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for 6 months from the day you land in Armenia, not from your departure date. If your passport expires in less than 6 months, renew it before applying.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the e-Visa online
Go to evisa.mfa.am, fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport-style photo, and pay the fee (approx. $8–$12 USD depending on processing speed). Processing usually takes 3–5 business days, but you can pay extra for 24-hour service.
2
Receive and save your visa
Once approved, you'll get a PDF by email. Save it to your phone and print a copy as backup. The visa is valid for up to 120 days from issue, with a maximum stay of 21 or 30 days depending on the type you selected.
3
Prepare your documents for arrival
Before you land at Yerevan's Zvartnots Airport (EVN), have your passport, visa printout/screenshot, return ticket, and accommodation booking ready. The immigration queue can be slow — having everything in one folder helps.
4
Go through immigration at Yerevan airport
Hand over your passport and visa. The officer may ask your purpose of visit, where you're staying, and when you leave. Answer clearly. You'll get an entry stamp and can stay up to the number of days on your visa.
