Kenya entry requirements for Cameroon passport holders
Cameroonian passport holders need an eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization) to enter Kenya. You must apply online before you travel. This requirement has been in place since 2024.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Kenya e-VisaYou must get this visa online before you fly; it is not available on arrival. Apply online before travel | All Cameroonian passport holders must obtain an e-Visa before departure. Apply at the official Kenya e-Visa portal (etakenya.go.ke). The e-Visa allows a maximum stay of 60 days and is not extendable. | Required |
| Passport validityCheck your passport expiry date — if it's less than 6 months away, renew it before traveling. At least 6 months beyond your intended stay | Your Cameroon passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry into Kenya. Ensure your passport does not expire before this period. | Required |
| Blank passport pagesKenyan immigration will stamp your passport on arrival; you need a clean page for that. At least 1 blank page | Your passport must have at least one blank page for the entry stamp. It is advisable to have more than one blank page to avoid issues. | Required |
| Return or onward ticketHave your flight booking ready to show if asked — it proves you plan to leave Kenya. Proof of departure from Kenya | You must have a confirmed return or onward flight ticket showing your departure from Kenya before your 60-day stay expires. Immigration may ask to see this at check-in or upon arrival. | Required |
| Proof of sufficient fundsCarry a bank statement or credit card to show you can pay for your trip. For your stay | You may be asked to show evidence of sufficient funds to cover your stay in Kenya. This can include cash, credit cards, or bank statements. There is no fixed amount, but you should have enough to support yourself for up to 60 days. | Recommended |
| Yellow fever vaccination certificateGet the yellow fever shot and carry the certificate — it's a common entry requirement. Required for travelers from Cameroon | Cameroon is a yellow fever endemic country, so you must present a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate upon arrival in Kenya. Without it, you may be denied entry or subject to vaccination at the airport. | Required |
| Arrival declarationYou don't need to fill out any extra health or customs forms before landing. Not required | Kenya does not require a separate arrival declaration form for Cameroonian citizens. The e-Visa and passport checks are sufficient. | Not required |
