Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before you fly
Cameroon passport holders need an eVisa to enter South Korea. Apply at the official Korea eVisa portal at least 2 weeks before your trip. Upload a digital photo, passport scan, and supporting documents — processing takes 5–7 business days.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for entire stay
Your passport needs to be valid for the full duration of your stay in South Korea. No minimum validity beyond departure is required by Korean immigration, but some airlines may enforce 6 months — check with your carrier.Required
Return or onward ticket
Immigration may ask to see it
South Korean immigration officers routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return or onward ticket ready. If you're flying out to a third country, that ticket also works.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a hotel reservation confirmation or a letter of invitation from your host in South Korea. Immigration rarely asks, but having it ready avoids delays at the counter.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can cover your stay
Have a recent bank statement or credit card showing sufficient funds for your trip. No fixed amount is published, but around 1,000 USD per week is a safe benchmark. Immigration may ask if you look underfunded.Recommended
eVisa required — no visa on arrival
Cameroonian passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival in South Korea. You must have the eVisa approved before you fly. Airlines will check this at check-in.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you land in South Korea, not from your departure date. If it expires sooner, renew it before applying for the eVisa.
