Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Apply for a Zimbabwe eVisa at the official portal before you fly. Processing takes 3–5 business days, so submit at least a week ahead. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport — immigration at Harare and Victoria Falls will ask for it.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of stay
Your passport needs at least one blank page for the entry stamp. Zimbabwe does not enforce a strict 6-month validity rule, but airlines often do — check with your carrier before check-in.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed onward ticket. Have a printed copy or a screenshot of your flight booking ready. Without it, you may be denied boarding or entry.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter from your host in Zimbabwe. Officers at the border sometimes ask where you are staying — having it ready avoids delays.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have bank statements or a credit card showing you can cover your stay. There is no fixed minimum, but around $300–$500 USD for a short trip is a safe benchmark.Recommended
Apply early — processing can be slow
The eVisa system sometimes takes the full 2 weeks. Don't wait until the last minute. Apply at least 14 days before your departure to avoid stress.
Yellow fever certificate required
Cameroon is a yellow fever endemic country. Zimbabwe requires proof of vaccination if you're arriving from Cameroon. Carry your yellow card with your passport.
