Visa application
Visa required
Chinese passport holders need a visa before traveling to Israel. Apply at the nearest Israeli embassy or consulate — processing takes 5–10 working days. Submit your passport, completed application form, passport photos, flight itinerary, and hotel bookings.Check visa requirementsRequired
Valid passport
At least 6 months validity
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Israel. Airlines check this before boarding — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Immigration officers at Ben Gurion Airport routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or ticket to your next destination ready.Required
Proof of accommodation
Recommended
Hotel bookings or an invitation letter from your host in Israel help satisfy the border officer. Keep a printed copy or have it accessible on your phone.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended
Carry bank statements, credit cards, or cash to show you can support yourself during your stay. Immigration may ask how you plan to cover expenses.Recommended
Apply early — no rush service
Israeli visa processing takes 2–3 weeks with no expedited option. Apply at least a month before your trip to avoid last-minute stress.
Keep digital copies of everything
Save your visa approval, passport, return ticket, and hotel booking as screenshots on your phone. Immigration at Ben Gurion may ask to see them, and having them ready speeds things up.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the visa online
Go to the official Israeli visa portal (israel-entry.piba.gov.il). Create an account, fill in your personal and travel details, upload a digital passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the visa fee (around 100 ILS, roughly 30 USD) by credit card. Submit and wait for approval — typically 2–3 weeks.
2
Prepare your documents for arrival
Before you fly, print or save to your phone: your approved visa (email confirmation), your passport, return ticket, and first-night hotel booking. Immigration at Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) will ask to see these. Keep them together in a folder or a clear phone screenshot.
3
Go through immigration at Ben Gurion Airport
After landing, follow signs to 'Passport Control'. Join the queue for foreign passports. Hand over your passport and visa approval. The officer may ask about your itinerary, accommodation, and return ticket. Answer clearly and briefly. They'll stamp your passport (or issue a separate entry card) and you're in.
