Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply online before travel
Apply for your Kyrgyzstan eVisa at evisa.e-gov.kg at least 3 working days before departure. The eVisa is single-entry and valid for 90 days from issue. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport — immigration will check it on arrival.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for entire stay
Your Chinese passport must be valid for the full duration of your stay in Kyrgyzstan. No minimum validity beyond departure is required, but airlines may enforce 6 months — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Immigration may ask for proof
Immigration officers at Manas International Airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready showing your departure from Kyrgyzstan within the eVisa validity period.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Kyrgyzstan. Immigration rarely checks this for eVisa holders, but having it ready avoids delays if asked.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can cover your stay
Have a bank statement or cash equivalent to roughly $50 USD per day of your stay. Immigration officers rarely ask for this, but it's a formal requirement under Kyrgyz visa regulations.Recommended
Passport validity is critical
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your entry date. If it's close to expiring, renew it before applying for the eVisa. A rejected application means you can't travel.
eVisa is the only option
There is no visa on arrival for Chinese passport holders. You must get the eVisa before you fly. Apply early to avoid last-minute stress.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for eVisa Online
Go to the official Kyrgyz eVisa website (evisa.e-gov.kg). Fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport-style photo, and pay the fee. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days.
2
Receive eVisa Approval
You'll get an email with your eVisa PDF. Print a copy and save it on your phone. The visa is linked to your passport number, so you don't need to carry the paper, but it's safer to have it.
3
Arrive at Manas International Airport (Bishkek)
At immigration, present your passport and the eVisa confirmation. The officer will check your passport validity and may ask for your return ticket. The process is usually quick — 5–10 minutes.
4
Collect Luggage and Exit
After clearing immigration, collect your bags from the carousel. There are ATMs and SIM card kiosks in the arrivals hall. You're free to go.
