Chinese passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival in Mongolia. You must apply and receive approval online before you travel. Arriving without an eVisa means immediate denial of entry.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Mongolia, not from your departure date. If it's close to expiring, renew before applying for the eVisa.

Arrive at Ulaanbaatar (or other entry point)
Most travellers fly into Chinggis Khaan International Airport (UBN). At immigration, present your passport and eVisa. The officer may ask to see your return ticket and hotel booking. Answer clearly — it's usually quick.
