Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Apply for a Kosovo eVisa at e-viza.rks-gov.net before you fly. Processing takes 3–5 business days — do not book non-refundable flights until approved. Print the approval email and carry it with your passport.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for intended stay
Your Chinese passport must be valid for the entire duration of your stay in Kosovo. No minimum 6-month validity is required by Kosovo law, but airlines may enforce their own rules — check with your carrier before departure.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Border officers at Pristina Airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready — they want to see you leave within the eVisa validity period.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Immigration may ask where you're staying. A hotel confirmation or a letter from your host with their address and phone number is enough. Keep a copy on your phone or printed.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Officers can ask for proof you have enough money for your stay. Carry a bank statement or credit card showing access to at least €100 per day of your trip.Recommended
Visa required — no exceptions
Chinese passport holders cannot enter Kosovo without an approved e-Visa. There is no visa-on-arrival or visa waiver. Apply well in advance.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Kosovo, not from your departure date. Check your passport now.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for e-Visa online
Go to the official Kosovo e-Visa website (e-viza.rks-gov.net). Fill in your personal details, upload your passport scan and a recent photo, and pay the visa fee. Processing typically takes 3–5 business days.
2
Prepare your documents
Before you travel, gather your approved visa (print or save the PDF), passport, return ticket, accommodation booking, and travel insurance. Keep them all in one folder on your phone or in a physical folder.
3
Arrive at Pristina International Airport
At passport control, present your passport and visa. The officer may ask to see your return ticket and accommodation. Answer questions clearly. The process usually takes 5–10 minutes.
4
Enter Kosovo
Once stamped in, you're free to stay for the duration allowed by your visa. Keep your passport with you at all times — police checks do happen.
