Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Cameroon eVisa
Apply for a Cameroon eVisa at the official portal before travel. The eVisa is mandatory for Colombian passport holders — no visa on arrival available. Submit your application at least 2 weeks before departure to allow processing time.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of stay
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Cameroon. Airlines at Bogotá enforce this strictly — they will deny boarding if your passport expires sooner.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Cameroon
Immigration officers at Yaoundé and Douala airports routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed copy or a screenshot of your booking ready — they rarely accept verbal promises.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Cameroon. Immigration may ask for it if you arrive without a clear address — having it ready avoids delays.Recommended
Proof of funds
Bank statement or cash
Have a recent bank statement or enough cash (around 500,000 XAF or equivalent) to cover your stay. Officers occasionally ask for proof of financial means, especially if you lack a return ticket.Recommended
Yellow fever vaccine is mandatory
You must show a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate (the WHO yellow card) upon arrival. Without it, you may be denied entry or forced to get vaccinated at the airport at your own expense.
No visa-on-arrival
Cameroon does not offer visa-on-arrival for Colombian passport holders. You must have an approved eVisa before you board your flight.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa
Go to the official Cameroon eVisa website (evisacameroon.com). Fill out the form, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page, and pay the fee. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days.
2
Receive and print your eVisa
Once approved, you'll get a PDF via email. Print at least one copy and save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival.
3
Prepare your documents for departure
Pack your passport, printed eVisa, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation in your carry-on. Keep them together for quick access at immigration.
4
Arrive at Yaoundé or Douala airport
Most international flights land at Yaoundé Nsimalen or Douala International. Head to immigration, present your passport and eVisa, and expect a few questions about your trip. Have your return ticket and hotel address ready.
