eVisa required — no exceptions
Colombian passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival or at the Mongolian embassy. The eVisa is the only option. Apply online at evisa.mn at least a week before your trip.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you land in Mongolia, not from your departure date. Double-check before you apply.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to evisa.mn, fill out the application form, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $50 USD for a 30-day single entry). Processing takes 3–5 business days. You'll receive the eVisa by email as a PDF.
2
Print or save the eVisa
Print a paper copy of the eVisa and also save a digital copy on your phone. Immigration at Ulaanbaatar's Chinggis Khaan International Airport will ask to see it before they stamp you in.
3
Prepare your documents for arrival
Have your passport, printed eVisa, return ticket, and accommodation booking ready. At the airport, follow signs to 'Foreign Passports' — there's usually one queue for all non-Mongolians. The officer will check your documents, take a fingerprint scan, and stamp your passport. The whole process takes 5–10 minutes if your paperwork is in order.
