Land border entry from Serbia can be tricky
If you enter Kosovo from Serbia, you'll cross at the Merdare border. Serbian authorities may stamp you out, and Kosovo will stamp you in. Keep both stamps — some travellers have reported issues re-entering Serbia later. It's fine, but be aware.

What happens at the border

1
Prepare your documents before you fly
Check your passport expiry date — it must be at least 6 months away from your arrival. Book a return or onward ticket. Save a screenshot of your hotel booking and travel insurance on your phone. If you're flying into Pristina International Airport (PRN), you'll go through passport control there.
2
Arrive at Pristina Airport passport control
Join the queue for non-Kosovo passports. Hand over your passport. The officer may ask how long you're staying and where you're staying. Answer clearly. They'll stamp your passport — that stamp is your entry permission. No separate visa or registration is needed.
3
Exit and enjoy your stay
Once stamped, you're free to stay up to 90 days. Keep your passport safe — you'll need it for hotel check-ins and any police checks. If you leave and re-enter, the 90-day clock resets only after you've been outside Kosovo for 90 days.
