Passport validity is strictly enforced
Airlines will not let you board if your passport has less than 6 months validity from your entry date. This is the most common reason German travellers are turned away. Check your passport now, not at the airport.

Most German travellers fly into Windhoek's main airport. After landing, follow signs to 'Passport Control'. The queue can be slow — expect 20–40 minutes during peak hours.

Present your documents
Hand over your passport and any supporting documents (return ticket, accommodation booking) if asked. The officer will check your passport validity and stamp you in. No visa fee is charged.
