Arrive at Chișinău International Airport (or land border)
Most travellers fly into Chișinău (KIV). After landing, follow signs to 'Passport Control' for non-EU/non-Schengen arrivals. There are separate queues for Moldovan citizens and foreigners — join the 'Foreign Passports' line.

Present your passport and supporting documents
Hand over your passport with the photo page facing the officer. If asked, show your return ticket and accommodation booking. The officer will check your passport validity and stamp you in. The whole process usually takes 1–3 minutes.

Collect your luggage and proceed to customs
After passport control, head to the baggage claim area. Customs is generally straightforward for personal items. If you're carrying more than €10,000 in cash or equivalent, you must declare it.
