What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Muscat or Salalah airport
When you land, follow the signs to 'Arrivals' and then to the immigration counters. There's no separate visa-on-arrival desk for Danes — just join the regular queue for foreign visitors.
2
Present your passport at the immigration counter
Hand over your passport (and possibly your boarding pass). The officer will check your details, stamp your passport, and let you through. This usually takes a couple of minutes.
3
Proceed to baggage claim and customs
After the stamp, collect your luggage and walk through customs. There's usually nothing to declare unless you're carrying restricted items.

Frequently asked questions

You can stay for up to 30 days visa-free. This is a standard tourist/business entry. If you need longer, you must leave and re-enter or apply for a visa through the Royal Oman Police before your 30 days are up.
No, the visa-free entry is not extendable. If you stay beyond 30 days, you'll face fines. You'd need to exit the country and re-enter to get a fresh stamp, or apply for a proper visa before arrival.
If you're staying airside (not passing through immigration) and your layover is under 24 hours, you don't need a visa. If you plan to leave the airport, you'll use the same visa-free entry as a tourist — just show your passport and you're in.
You'll likely be denied boarding by the airline or refused entry by Omani immigration. The 6-month validity rule is strictly enforced. Renew your passport before you travel.
No, it's free. You don't pay anything at immigration for the visa-free stamp. If you were to apply for a visa in advance (for longer stays), there would be a fee, but for the standard 30-day entry, it's zero.
No. The visa-free entry is for tourism and short business visits (meetings, conferences). If you plan to work or take up employment, you need a work visa arranged by an Omani employer before you arrive.
Your passport (valid 6+ months), a return or onward ticket, and proof of accommodation. They may also ask for proof of funds — a credit card or bank statement works. Having these ready makes the process smooth.
