Danish passport holders need an eVisa to visit Pakistan in 2026. The process is entirely online through the official NADRA portal, and you'll get a single-entry visa valid for up to 90 days. Plan ahead — processing can take a few weeks.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply online before travel
Apply for your Pakistan eVisa at the official NADRA portal. Processing takes 3–5 working days for most nationalities. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport — immigration at Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad will ask to see it.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid on arrival
Your Danish passport needs at least one blank page for the entry stamp. Pakistan does not enforce a 6-month validity rule — just make sure it covers your entire stay.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Immigration officers at all Pakistani airports check for a confirmed onward or return ticket. If you arrive without one, expect to be questioned and potentially denied boarding by your airline.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Have a hotel reservation or a letter from your host in Pakistan ready. Immigration rarely asks, but airlines sometimes request it at check-in.Recommended
Proof of funds
Bank statement or cash
Carry a bank statement showing sufficient funds for your stay. Immigration does not routinely check, but having it avoids delays if questioned.Recommended
eVisa processing can be slow
Don't book non-refundable flights or hotels until your eVisa is approved. Processing times vary and can take up to 30 days.
Keep digital copies of everything
Save your eVisa PDF, passport scan, and return ticket on your phone and in cloud storage. If you lose the printout, you can show the digital version at immigration.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to visa.nadra.gov.pk, create an account, and fill in the application. Upload a scanned copy of your passport bio page and a passport-sized photo. Pay the fee (around $60-80 depending on nationality) by credit card. Processing takes 7-14 working days, sometimes longer.
2
Receive and print your eVisa
Once approved, you'll get an email with a PDF. Print a copy and save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival in Pakistan.
3
Arrive at a Pakistani airport
Most travellers fly into Islamabad (ISB), Karachi (KHI), or Lahore (LHE). At immigration, present your passport, printed eVisa, and return ticket. The officer may ask about your accommodation — have the address ready.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. There's usually a green channel for nothing to declare. If you have a local SIM, you can activate it right after exiting.
