Cash is king at immigration
The visa on arrival fee must be paid in cash. Bring USD, EUR, or Rwandan francs. Credit cards are not accepted at the visa counter. ATMs are available after immigration but not before.

Arrive at Kigali International Airport
After landing, follow signs to 'Immigration' or 'Visa on Arrival'. The queue is usually straightforward. Have your passport, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation ready.

Fill out the arrival form
You'll receive a small arrival card on the plane or at immigration. Fill in your personal details, flight number, and where you're staying.

Pay the visa fee
At the visa counter, pay the fee in cash (USD, EUR, or RWF). The officer will issue a visa sticker and stamp your passport.

Proceed to passport control
Hand over your passport, visa sticker, and arrival card. The officer may ask a few questions (purpose of visit, length of stay). Answer clearly.

Collect luggage and exit
After passport control, head to baggage claim, then customs. You're free to enter Rwanda.
