eVisa validity starts from the date of issue
Your eVisa is valid for 90 days from the day it's approved, not from your travel date. If you apply too early, it might expire before you arrive. Apply no more than 2–3 weeks before departure.
Keep a printed copy of your eVisa
You'll need to show the printed approval letter at check-in in Denmark and again on arrival in Uganda. A digital copy on your phone is not always accepted — print it.

Apply for the eVisa online
Go to visas.immigration.go.ug, create an account, fill in your details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $50 USD for a single-entry tourist visa) by credit card. You'll receive a confirmation email.

Wait for approval
Processing usually takes 2–5 business days. You'll get an approval letter by email. Print it — you'll need to show it at check-in in Denmark and again on arrival in Uganda.

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport
After landing, follow signs to 'Immigration'. Join the queue for 'Visitors with eVisa'. Hand over your passport, printed eVisa approval, and boarding pass. The officer will stamp you in — usually takes 2–5 minutes.

Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, collect your bags from the carousel and walk through customs. There's no separate health screening unless you're arriving from a yellow fever endemic area.
