Must be valid for entire stay
Your passport must be valid for at least the duration of your stay in Azerbaijan. No minimum validity beyond departure is required by law, but airlines may enforce 6 months — check with your carrier.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Immigration officers at Baku Heydar Aliyev Airport routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return or onward ticket ready.Required
Proof of accommodation
Recommended to carry
Hotel booking confirmations or a letter of invitation from your host in Azerbaijan can speed up the immigration process. Keep a printed copy or have it accessible on your phone.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended to carry
While not always checked, having bank statements or a credit card showing sufficient funds (around $50 USD per day) can satisfy any officer who asks. Better to have it than to be turned away.Recommended
