Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Oman. Airlines check this at check-in.Required

Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host. Immigration may ask for it at the counter.Recommended
Proof of funds

Have a bank statement or enough cash (around 500 OMR) to show you can support yourself during your stay. Officers rarely ask, but it helps.Recommended
Visa on arrival is for tourism only
You cannot work or study on a visa on arrival. If you plan to work, volunteer, or study in Oman, you must get the appropriate visa before you travel.

The visa on arrival fee is 20 OMR. Have cash (Omani Rials) or a credit card ready. Some counters may not accept all cards, so carrying cash is safer.

Hand over your passport, return ticket, and hotel booking. The officer will process your visa and collect the fee (if applicable).
3
Pay the visa fee
As of 2025, the visa on arrival costs 20 OMR (about €48). Pay in cash (Omani Rials) or by credit card. Keep the receipt.
4
Get stamped and proceed
Once approved, you'll receive a visa sticker in your passport and an entry stamp. You're free to enter Oman for up to 14 days.
